The Institute of Business Management & Technology, Bangalore (IBMT) celebrated its twelth Foundation Day. This year, Mr. N S Parthasarathy, President & CEO, Independent Testing Services, MINDTREE Ltd. was invited to deliver the annual Foundation Day Lecture.
The theme of the lecture by Mr. Parthasarathy was Balance. He spoke on the necessity of balance that an individual needs to have in his personal as well as his corporate structure in order to succeed in life. He emphasized that it is very important to maintain a balanced work life structure. Mr. M V Rajeev Gowda, the Chairperson, Centre for public policy from IIMB, spoke on the need for ethics in public life and explained the movement of Anna Hazare as a case study. Dr Harold Andrew Patrick, Coordinator, OB & HRM Christ University spoke about the need for trust that the students need to have in their teachers as well as the education system while pursuing their higher education. He hailed the newly enacted Right to Education Act as a 'great law' and said that education is the best way to prevent the exploitation and trafficking of children.
Earlier, the event began with an invocation by a student of IBMT Mr. Naveen followed by the lighting of lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
Dr. Anil Rawat, Director IBMT welcomed the gathering and made the introductory remarks.
Mr. Ramegowda, the Chairman of IBMT presided over the event. On this occasion, Mr. GKC Reddy, the Vice Chairman also spoke and wished the students a bright future and congratulated the management on the completion of their twelfth year of establishment.
