  • All students are expected to observe decorum to enhance the image of the college hence, follow the college dress code. (i.e., formal dress: Trouser, White shirt, tie & shoe.)
  • Students should always wear their valid college Identity card whenever in college or while representing the college at any other place. Further, it should be produced whenever demanded by any of the college staff.
  • Attendance for all Theory and Practical classes are compulsory. A student who does not have 85% of attendance during a particular semester/academic year WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to take the final examinations. Assignments & projects (as applicable) given to the students shall be completed and submitted within specified time period. The management shall not be under any obligations to extend the time so fixed.
  • Evaluation of text assignment and projects by the faculty for the purpose of internal assignment shall be final and binding on the students. However, students can apply for improvement by redoing the assignment/test etc., re-totaling/re-valuation and any complaint in this regard will not be entertained.
  • The management shall fix a schedule for lectures, practical & other programs the way it considers best shall endeavor all to adhere to this schedule. However, management shall not be responsible for any change in the schedule, postponement or cancellation of lectures. The college reserves the right to make appropriate changes in its lecturing staff, schedule if it seems necessary.
  • Full- Time Classes for any courses will be only conducted if number of students enrolled in particular class is more than 10. If number of students enrolled for a particular class is less than 10 students, no Full- Time classes are conducted in this regard and students have to follow the decisions taken by the management. Decision of management will be final.
  • Any student remaining absent for more than 15 days without written prior permission class In charge shall be deemed to have dropped out and his/her name will be struck off from the rolls.
  • During the conduct of lectures, students should not loiter in the corridors or in and around the college premises. While representing the college at any other place, the student's behavior should not be detrimental to the image of the college. In case of any problem, personal or academic, students should report to the Director, who will help them solve their problems. Student is liable to immediate dismissal for any serious misconduct and/or any reason of any breach of the college's rules and regulations.
  • The college reserves the right to reject a fresh admission/Re-Registration application and expel any student if and when necessary. No fee refunded on expulsion. The college's decision in all matters pertaining to rules and regulations or terms and conditions shall be final.
  • The students have to abide by all safety measures and proper handing procedure of equipments. Any willful damage to equipment will be paid by the student responsible for the damage. Fee for any semester/year is strictly according to the notice given. Once the classes for particular semester starts, student admitted will be assumed in that particular class and he/she has to pay all the fees even he/she leaves the course in between before the semester commencement. Any stoppages must be requested in writing and subjected to college's approval.
  • Fees are payable for all courses and are subject to review from time to time. Payment by installment is not acceptable. In special cases, with prior agreement, payment in installment will be entertained with an additional sum of RS. 1000/- per installment. Ensuring that the fees is paid before the deadline announced is the responsibility of the student. Nonpayment of the prescribed fees within the due date will result in cancellation of registration to the course I following semesters. In the event a student discontinues his study for whatever reason(s), all fees paid at the time of registration and subsequently including tuition fees, lab & library fees, shall not be refundable or re-adjustable. Students will also be liable for any travel and accommodation costs incurred whilst on placement. On certain programs the students may incur additional specific charges for such items or activities as university fees (including registration, Examination, NSS, NCC, sports & games fees etc.), specialist material or field trips. The institution reserves the right to make additional charges to students for such activities. Details of any such additional charges are available from the Administration Department. The college may withdraw or amend its offer or terminate a student's registration at the institution if it finds that a false or misleading statement has been made in, or significant information has been omitted from the student's application form.
  • The Management is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage to any personal property owned, operated, or possessed by the Student, guest(s), parents, or family members which may be held, located, or stored in any residence unit or anywhere else on the institution -owned or leased property. The Student understands and expressly agrees to accept all risks of such losses or damages and is urged at all times to seek appropriate insurance coverage through family insurance or other means
  • The Student hereby agrees to assume all risks associated with the occupancy of a residence unit (hostel) and does hereby, for himself/herself, his/her heirs and personal representatives, agree to hold harmless, indemnity, release and forever discharge the Management and any and all of its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, on account of loss or damage to personal property, or personal injury, including death, which may result from causes beyond the control of the Management, its officers, agents, or employees during the term of this Agreement.
  • The institution does not accept responsibility and expressly excludes itself, its officers, agents and employees of all liability for any loss, damage or injury incurred by a student or to his/her property whether in connection with his/her studies or not.
  • Every student of the college is required to register in a form prescribed by the institution before the commencement of the academic year or other defined stage of their program of studies, and at the time of registration, to sign an undertaking to abide by its regulations, rules and codes of conduct in the institution and the hostels. 'Copies of the above collectively referred to as Student Regulations and Procedures, is available with the Administration Department. Certificates & Mark sheet will not be issued without clearance from the accounts department. Disputes of any kind are subject to the jurisdiction of Bangalore courts only.
Institute of Business Management and Technology (IBMT) recognize that its chief responsibility to the community is education. The Student Code of Conduct prescribes the following rules of conduct and behaviors, which interfere with the ongoing educational purposes of the college, may require intervention and/or disciplinary action. The objective of the Institute of Business Management and Technology in enforcing academic rules is to promote a community atmosphere in which learning can best take place. With this in mind, we believe that students enrolling at IBMT assume an obligation to conduct themselves in a manner compatible with the functions of the institution.
These discipline & code of conduct form the basis of the contract you will enter into with the institution. All students will be required as a condition of enrolment to abide by, and to submit to the procedures of the institute's rules and regulations, as amended from time to time.
Self-discipline is the best discipline. All students are expected to observe rules and regulations currently in force to enable the smooth working of the college. Students should be disciplined and well¬ behaved at all times. Students are prohibited from doing anything inside or outside the institute that will interfere with its orderly administration or affect its public image. No outside influence, political or any other, should be brought into the institute directly or indirectly. Students resorting to unfair means at the examination will be dealt in accordance with the provisions of the Government.
  • Application form for admission, Fresh application form/Re Registration form completed in all respects must reach the office as notified by the advertisement within the stipulated date. Incomplete applications and those received after the stipulated date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Incomplete Admission/Re-registration forms having over writing, mutilation or erasures or not accompanied with the prescribed amount or those received after the due date without late fees will be summarily rejected.
  • All the forms will be only accepted with prescribed DD and amount.
  • No refund of fees will be made on withdrawal cancellation of admission in any cases. Transfer of seat is not permitted.
  • Students have to produce original documents of the marks sheets and degree/diploma certificates whenever the college/University for verification.
  • Students are directed not to bring any outsider into the college premises.
  • Students are directed not to collect any fund from other students or from outsiders without the written permission of the Director.
  • Students shall not organize picnics, excursion, trips etc., on their own, without the written permission of the Director.
  • Ragging in any form is totally prohibited. Severe action will be taken against students who violate this rule as per legal regulations.
  • Smoking, consuming alcoholic drinks and drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited. Students who violate this rule will be strictly dealt with and such students will be discharged with immediate effect.
  • Using mobile phones inside the classes/ Library/ Computer Lab is totally prohibited.
  • The powers relating to the disciplinary action in the college will vest with the Director and his decision in this respect shall be final. Anyone who violates the code of conduct will be severely dealt with.
IBMT hostel is established to provide residential facilities with homely atmosphere for the deserving students studying in the institution. The Management is very much particular in making this hostel a model and an ideal one among such of its kind in the country. As such the inmates of the hostel are strictly advised to adhere to the following rules and regulations.
  • Every student before allotment of his seat in the hostel shall give an undertaking with respect to the acceptance of rules and regulations, along with duly filled General Information form and Immunization Record.
  • Allotment of hostel seats will be for the full academic year. In case they want to leave the hostel in the middle of the academic year they shall pay the Hostel Charges for the full academic year in lump sum.
  • It is the responsibility of the inmates to do their best for maintaining discipline, peace and harmony in the hostel. The senior students are advised to set good examples to their juniors.
  • Any activity of the inmates observed to be prejudicial and detrimental to the smooth and peaceful functioning of the college hostel will be viewed seriously by the management and disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty.
  • Misuse of electricity, water and other facilities will be liable for penalty.
  • Hostel rooms and toilets must be kept clean and tidy. Photographs pictures etc. shall not be pasted or displayed on the walls of the room.
  • Vegetarian & Non-Vegetarian food will be served separately in the mess. No student will be allowed to carry food to the rooms.
  • No reduction will be made in the hostel charges for any absence or late coming. A student leaving the Hostel before the end of the month or joining late has to pay the full month's charges. Hostel fees will be proportionally charged during vacations. This is applicable only during vacations declared by the College.
  • Students shall report to the Manager at 09.30 P.M. every day.
  • Smoking, consuming alcoholic drinks and drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited. Students who violate this rule will be strictly dealt with and such students will be discharged with immediate effect.
  • Inmates shall take care to keep silence in the hostel premises especially during the study hours.
  • Inmates shall go to bed as per the timetable. Table lamps can be used for their late night studies.
  • No students shall enter the kitchen or give instructions to the cooks or other servants. Complaints regarding food, service etc if any, may be brought to the notice of the Manager.
  • Payment of hostel fees beyond the stipulated date will be liable for fine.
  • Smoking, chewing tobacco, consuming alcoholic drinks or any other intoxicating drugs etc. are strictly prohibited. Any inmates, if found indulging in such practices, shall be asked to vacate the hostel without any notice.
  • Students, while going out, shall enter in the register the time of leaving, purpose and proposed time of return. White returning they shall also enter the time of return in the same register. They will be allowed to go to libraries etc. and visit the city on Saturday afternoon and Sundays.
  • Inmates shall not conduct group meeting, circulate books, pamphlets and papers and conduct parties or get-together inside the hostel premises.
  • Inmates shall not keep money or other valuable items in their rooms. However they can hand over such items to the Manager for safe custody and obtain a paper receipt/acknowledgement for the same.
  • Any visitor or parents are not allowed to enter the hostel rooms. Inmates shall not entertain any beggars, vendors or any other persons inside the hostel premises.
  • The inmates are strictly advised to follow the timetable as mentioned hereunder
